Job summary

Soliant Health in Brainerd, MN seeks an ASL Interpreter for the school year with options for full-time or part-time contracts. You will support access to curriculum and help students participate fully in school life.

You will work with educators to interpret classroom discussions, events, and communications, while upholding confidentiality and professional standards in an educational setting.

Qualifications

• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Experience as an interpreter or in an educational setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with ability to work with students, teachers, and staff.
• Knowledge of confidentiality and professional conduct standards.

Responsibilities

• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school events for students and staff.
• Facilitate communication between Deaf/Hard of Hearing students and hearing peers, teachers, and administrators.
• Adapt interpreting style to classroom dynamics and student needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards.
• Collaborate with teachers and participate in team meetings to support educational goals.
