Job summary

Soliant is seeking an experienced ASL Interpreter to support telehealth education in a Marquette, Michigan school setting. The contract role requires converting spoken content into accurate ASL during remote learning activities and other educational sessions.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in ASL Interpreting, certification, and classroom or telehealth interpretation experience. This position offers flexible contracting and the opportunity to contribute to student access to education.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational or telehealth settings.
• Fluency in American Sign Language and ability to interpret complex academic content.
• Familiar with telehealth platforms and virtual communication technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear and accurate sign language interpretation during telehealth educational sessions.
• Facilitate effective communication between students with hearing impairments and educators or school personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics while supporting student learning.
• Collaborate with educators to ensure accessible and inclusive instruction.
• Stay current on ASL interpreting best practices and educational terminology.
