Job summary

Niles Township High Schools District 219 is seeking a Computer Technician to support technology hardware and online resources for classroom instruction. The role involves setup, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of devices, software, and network infrastructure within the district.

You will help manage district tech services, assist with asset management, and support testing environments. Collaboration across departments and adherence to district policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent certification and experience.
• CompTIA or equivalent A+ certification preferred.
• Experience in diverse, multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists staff and students with hardware/software issues, setup, and configuration.
• Log and respond to tickets using district help-desk system.
• Collaborate with technology team to resolve system-level issues (Internet outages, wireless, phone).
• Assist with asset management for student devices using MDM.
• Support break maintenance, reimaging devices, and building technology projects.
• Test and troubleshoot copper/fiber infrastructure to ensure data, voice, video delivery.
• Support online and computer-based testing during school events.
