Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators is seeking a tech support professional to provide local and wide area network assistance across district facilities. Responsibilities include installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair of hardware, peripherals, classroom technology, printers, and network equipment.

You will assist with software upgrades, provide technical help to district staff, perform preventive maintenance, manage work orders, and maintain equipment inventories.

Qualifications

• Background in working with computers.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license; personal vehicle for use during the work day.

Responsibilities

• Supports District Technology Department with installation, configuration, maintenance and repair of computer hardware, peripherals, classroom instructional technology, and printers.
• Supports District Technology Department with troubleshooting and replacement of network and phone system peripheral equipment.
• Supports District Technology Department with upgrading and maintenance of district software applications.
• Provides technical assistance on computer hardware and software to district staff.
• Conducts preventive maintenance on computer hardware, classroom instructional technology, and printers to maximize life of equipment.
• Recommends upgrades or replacements when excessive hardware problems show trends of premature failure or faulty parts.
• Facilitates good utilization of district work order system by inputting and updating progress on work orders.
• Supports District Technology Department with software and hardware inventory maintenance.
