Job summary

Bellevue School District is seeking a Technology Specialist to support school-based technology usage for students and staff, aligning with the District’s instructional initiatives.

The role includes setting up computers, configuring hardware and software, and providing first-line troubleshooting and training in basic operations to staff and students. Collaboration with technology committees and coordination of laptop distribution are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience supporting users in use of computers, peripherals, and software.
• Knowledge of hardware, peripherals, and Microsoft operating systems.
• Ability to train staff and work with students.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and assists with set up of computers and related equipment in an assigned school; loads and upgrades software.
• Configures and installs computers in stand-alone and networked environments.
• Conducts first line troubleshooting of computers and peripherals for staff and students.
• Maintains building inventory of computers, software, peripherals and related equipment; conducts annual physical inventory and maintains database of inventory and equipment repairs.
• Troubleshoots hardware and software problems in computer labs and classrooms; arranges for repairs as necessary; performs some hardware maintenance.
• Provides basic computer support to staff and students, including training in basic operational skills.
