Job summary

Utah Valley University is seeking an innovative Instructional Technology Consultant to help faculty leverage technology, instructional design, and evidence-based teaching practices to enhance learning experiences for students.

Working in a collaborative environment, you will train, consult, and create resources for UVU’s educational technology ecosystem, including the LMS, with a focus on AI-assisted and data-informed teaching improvements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Instructional Design, Technology, Education, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of training experience.
• Teaching experience in higher education.
• Doctoral degree in Instructional Design, Technology, Education, or related field.
• Experience with LTI integrations into LMS systems.
• Experience leveraging existing technologies to support teaching and learning.
• Knowledge of AI technologies and their ethical application in teaching.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver professional development on instructional technology.
• Deliver workshops, webinars, and trainings for faculty in various settings.
• Create instructional resources including online modules and tutorials.
• Support UVU's learning management system and other educational technologies.
• Develop proactive resources and share technology updates and best practices.
• Provide leadership in exploring, evaluating, and responsibly integrating AI in teaching.
