Job summary

REAL Journey Academies in San Bernardino seeks Educational Support Personnel (ESPs) to assist students under the supervision of certificated staff and to support both instructional and non-instructional activities. ESPs contribute to a safe, positive learning environment and perform duties including supervision and clerical tasks.

The role requires a High School Diploma, with college coursework strongly desired.

Responsibilities

Assist students under teacher supervision.
Implement instructional programs to meet goals and objectives.
Administer tests to assess progress toward educational objectives.
Prepare classroom and instructional materials for learning environment readiness.
Adapt classroom work to support and reinforce lesson plans.
Monitor activities to provide a safe and positive learning environment.
Support classroom management and behavior of students.
Provide supervision of students during assigned duties.
Perform clerical tasks to support instruction, such as copying materials.
Operate office and instructional equipment including computers.
Travel with and supervise students for school activities.
