Job summary

Rochester Public Schools seeks a Paraeducator ESP to support students on site in a Special Education program. You will assist with instructional activities, data collection, behavior management and communication of progress under certified staff supervision.

Position is temporary (Jan 11–May 7, 2027), 6.25 hours/day, about 180 duty days/year. Requires relevant credits or degree; strong teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires 60 college credits or a 2-year degree; transcripts required.
• High School diploma or GED required; Paraeducator assessments available as alternative.
• Experience with elementary students preferred; computer skills beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support under certified staff.
• Assist with behavior management and data collection.
• Support students with personal cares as needed.
• Observe and document student progress and communicate with teachers.
