Job summary

Bethlehem Area School District invites applications for an Instructional Assistant - Regular Education at James Buchanan Elementary School. This full-time, 10-month position runs August through June with a seven-hour weekday shift.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 48 credits beyond high school required.
• Completion of the District's Highly Qualified IA Program is expected.
• Ability to support students under guidance of the classroom teacher.

Responsibilities

• Support students' educational and social development under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
• Assist with academic, behavioral, and organizational needs to promote student success.
• Provide individualized and small-group support inside and outside the classroom.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Provide assistance with student personal care needs as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
