Job summary

Sylvania is seeking two Full-time, 10-month instructional assistants to support teachers at Bucher Elementary School and Reidenbaugh Elementary School in Lititz, PA. You will help implement daily lesson plans and IEP goals, working with students of varying abilities in a classroom setting.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM–4:00 PM. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with strong communication, teamwork and basic technology skills desirable.

Job description

This position is responsible for assisting teachers with instructional support to meet daily lesson plans provided by the teacher as well as the goals of each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). Works with students with varying ability levels and needs in a classroom setting. Candidates must have a high degree of patience, ability to effectively use verbal skills to communicate with teachers, students, supervisors and parents, ability to take initiative and creatively solve problems, and posses the ability to be flexible and adapt to various and challenging environments.

Position: Full-time-10 month (school term)
