Job summary

The Asian Art Museum seeks a Manager of Education to design and support the delivery of engaging educational experiences across audiences. You will oversee curricular design, project management, and cross-department collaboration to ensure high-quality programming and strong staff supervision.

You will coordinate alignment with standards, develop trainings for docents and educators, and partner with Digital and Audience Engagement to create visitor-facing materials and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree with 3–5 years museum education experience
• Master's degree preferred in a related field
• Experience advancing diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion

Responsibilities

• Design and support delivery of educational experiences and programs
• Supervise staff and implement department strategy
• Coordinate curriculum design with state/local standards and current pedagogy
• Lead docent trainings and school tour support
• Manage public programs and family-focused events
• Collaborate with Digital and Audience Engagement on materials and communications
• Oversee administrative tasks, contracts, budgets, and timelines
