Job summary

Honolulu Museum of Art seeks a Studio Programs Manager to lead and shape art-making experiences for learners of all ages. You will plan, develop, and manage youth and adult classes, workshops, and events across the Museum and Art School campus, collaborating with the Learning and Engagement team to inspire lifelong learning across Hawai‘i.

You will oversee program quality, supervise instructors, coordinate curricula, and manage budgets, with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility for diverse

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or related field or equivalent experience.
• Two years of experience teaching art, developing curriculum, or managing an art program.
• Broad knowledge of art education and museum practices.
• Ability to communicate with diverse audiences.
• Experience supervising staff and instructors.
• Experience coordinating programs and delivering art education.
• Commitment to inclusion and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Set and advance the vision, mission, and values of Studio Programs.
• Develop and uphold Studio Programs policies and procedures.
• Lead planning for classes, workshops, and curriculum priorities.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise instructors and staff.
• Oversee program quality and provide professional development.
• Collaborate with Learning and Engagement to train Hawai‘i educators.
• Manage operational budget and registration processes.
• Develop partnerships with schools and community organizations.
