Job summary

Alpha is hiring an Education Program Manager to lead Guides, coach teams, and create a culture of excellence that drives student outcomes. You’ll develop leaders, run life-skills workshops, and ensure performance stays at the highest standard.

This is a full-time, on-site role across campuses in Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Greenwich, CT; Washington, DC, with relocation support and comprehensive benefits. Compensation is $200,000 USD per year, paid weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or a related leadership role.
• Experience leading and developing teams of five or more people, including hiring and performance-based termination decisions.
• Demonstrated success using data to drive performance improvements.
• Experience working with children ages 5-14 in educational, coaching, or developmental setting.
• Experience building or launching a new team, program, business, school, or initiative, with willingness to help open a new campus from zero.
• Willingness to work in a school model that rejects traditional lecture-based pedagogy.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coaching Guides to deliver exceptional student experiences while maintaining Alpha's high standards.
• Leading engaging life skills workshops to develop communication, leadership, focus, and other real-world skills for K-12 students.
• Motivating students to achieve ambitious learning goals and maximize progress in self-directed programs.
• Using data, observation, and coaching conversations to improve Guide performance and student outcomes.
• Helping launch and establish new Alpha campuses by building a culture centered on excellence and continuous improvement.
