Job summary

Hope and Healing Survivor Resource Center in Akron, OH seeks an Education and Prevention Specialist to lead prevention programs addressing sexual violence, human trafficking, and intimate partner violence. Responsibilities

• Create age-appropriate, evidence-based educational programs on sexual violence prevention, consent, and healthy relationships.
• Provide training and workshops for professionals and community members on recognizing and responding to sexual violence and trafficking.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners including juvenile court, law enforcement, and healthcare providers.
• Represent the organization at events to promote awareness and resources.
• Offer support and resources to survivors encountered during outreach events.
• Collect and maintain records of outreach activities and outcomes.
• Participate in coalitions and task forces as requested by supervisor.
• Complies with agency policies, CARF standards, and education/certification requirements.
• Other duties as assigned

Education

Four-year degree in communication, public relations, social work, education, or related field

Victim advocacy training and/or experience

Strong knowledge of sexual assault, intimate partner violence and human trafficking prevention

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse communities and organizations

Maintain valid Ohio driver’s license

Criminal background check clearance
