Job summary

Hope and Healing Survivor Resource Center in Akron, OH is seeking a Victim Advocate to provide trauma-informed advocacy and direct services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and trafficking. The role focuses on safety planning, resource linkage, and compassionate support across multiple settings.

You will manage a caseload, conduct needs assessments, coordinate with partners, maintain confidential records, and participate in ongoing training to meet CARF standards and agency

Qualifications

• Degree in women\'s studies, social work, criminal justice, psychology, or related field is required.
• If no degree, equivalent experience in victim advocacy or related field accepted.
• Must meet agency requirements for criminal background check and driving insurability.

Responsibilities

• Provides crisis intervention, advocacy, and trauma-informed support to survivors in diverse settings.
• Manages an individual caseload and develops individualized goal plans with clients.
• Maintains confidential record-keeping and documents client information per agency requirements.
• Completes client documentation and statistics accurately in compliance with agency policies.
• Participates in ongoing training to meet CARF standards and agency requirements.
• Collaborates with allied professionals and victim advocacy agencies for coordination and cross-training.
• Represents the agency’s mission and policies in all interactions with clients and partners.
