Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Business Management with 3 years of experience or equivalent.
• Payroll knowledge and experience required; government entity familiarity preferred.
• Proficient Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain employee payroll records in the district system and audit information for accuracy.
• Interpret and apply payroll policies, rules, and labor agreements to ensure correct pay.
• Process garnishments and update tax assignments for address changes.
• Prepare payroll-related general ledger entries and reconcile benefit withholdings.
• Generate month-end, quarterly, and annual payroll reports and respond to payroll inquiries.
