Job summary

Parkway School District is seeking a Payroll Specialist to assist auditors, compile payroll data, and coordinate payroll processes across departments. The role supports compliance with financial and regulatory guidelines and manages documentation and inquiries related to payroll operations.

The position offers a 12-month calendar, 8-hour days, and starting pay of $23.28 per hour, with benefits including health/dental/vision, retirement plans, and paid leave.

Qualifications

• Experience: Job-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
• Education: Targeted job-related education that meets organization's prerequisite requirements.
• Clearances: Criminal Background Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Assists auditors for the purpose of providing supporting documentation and/or information on internal process that is required for audit.
• Compiles statistical and payroll data from sources for summaries and compliance with guidelines.
• Confers with internal and external parties for accurate payroll processing.
• Coordinates payroll with departments and sites to ensure compliant services.
• Informs staff and outside parties regarding procedural requirements for processing transactions.
• Maintains a wide variety of payroll information for documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors payroll activities for compliance with financial, legal and administrative requirements.
• Prepares payroll-related documents for documentation and reference.
• Processes payroll documents and materials for dissemination to parties.
• Reconciles payroll account balances to maintain accuracy and compliance.
• Resolves discrepancies in payroll and benefits information to ensure accuracy of records.
