Job summary

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge required.
• Strong communication with District staff and external stakeholders.
• Experience with payroll and HR software applications.

• Ability to prioritize, train and review staff.
• Attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain internal controls for compliance.
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to state and federal agencies.
• Train central office and building administrators in financial systems and policies.
• Monitor, process, and submit payroll-related payments including taxes and retirement contributions.
• Maintain payroll-related internal controls and ensure timely disbursements.
• Assist in payroll data analysis and reconciliation within the financial management system.
• Submit payroll reports to applicable agencies as required by law.
• Read and interpret tax regulations and labor agreements as they relate to payroll.
• Collaborate with Payroll and HR to resolve discrepancies.
• Operate the financial management system (Business Plus or similar).
• Assist with audit preparation and document payroll and accounting processes.
• Analyze data to support strategic financial decisions and ensure accuracy of outputs.
