Job summary

Beta-Academy in Houston, TX is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to manage all aspects of payroll, ensure accurate and timely pay, and support HR processes. The role reports to the Director of Human Resources and requires meticulous attention to detail and strong confidentiality.

You will maintain payroll records, audit timekeeping, process direct deposits, and assist with onboarding and employment verification, while collaborating with Finance and campus leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of payroll, accounting, finance, or HR experience.
• Experience processing payroll in a school district or public sector preferred.
• Familiarity with TRS, FICA, and other payroll regulations.
• Strong data entry and confidentiality skills.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Audit timesheets, leave balances, overtime, and deductions.
• Maintain payroll records and HRIS data.
• Prepare payroll reports for internal leadership and regulatory agencies.
