HR & Payroll CoordinatorJob DescriptionBeta is a Title I Schoolwide campus I understand that part or all of this job could be funded with federal funds Position SummaryThe HR & Payroll Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of payroll administration while providing operational support for Human Resources This position ensures employees are paid accurately and on time by maintaining payroll records auditing timekeeping data processing payroll transactions and ensuring compliance with federal state and local regulations In addition the coordinator supports employee lifecycle processes including onboarding personnel records benefits administration and employment verification The ideal candidate is highly organized detail oriented customer focused and committed to maintaining confidentiality while delivering exceptional service to employees and campus leaders Reports ToDirector of Human Resources
Process bi weekly payroll accurately and on schedule for all employeesAudit employee timesheets leave balances overtime and supplemental pay for accuracyCalculate wages deductions taxes garnishments and benefit withholdingsProcess direct deposits payroll adjustments retroactive pay supplemental payrolls and off cycle payrollsReconcile payroll prior to processing and resolve discrepanciesMaintain payroll registers payroll history and supporting documentation
Process employee status changes including new hires transfers promotions compensation changes and terminationsAssist with onboarding employee documentation and HRIS maintenanceMaintain employee personnel files in accordance with district record retention requirementsSupport benefits administration by processing payroll deductions and qualifying life event changesAssist with open enrollment activities and employee benefit communicationsCoordinate employment verification requests and unemployment claims
