Job summary

West Chester Area School District is seeking a Technology Specialist II to provide Level 2 technical support for district staff across 17 schools. The role acts as a liaison between building-level staff and Central Office Technology Support, diagnosing and repairing technology devices, systems, and peripherals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, peripherals, and related technology.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving technology issues in a customer service or technical support environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, meet deadlines, and follow through with minimal supervision.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, maintain, and repair district hardware and software.
• Provide Level 2 technical support and escalate as needed.
• Monitor and manage incident requests through the district system.
• Coordinate with staff to manage daily client service requests and follow up.
• Assist with deployment and maintenance of district technology devices.
• Develop and document technical procedures and user resources.
• Provide technology training and guidance to staff.
• Collaborate with staff to identify needs and implement solutions.
