Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware seeks an Education Director to lead program development, supervise part-time staff and volunteers, and oversee safety and compliance. The role includes fundraising, marketing, community assessment and enrollment activities to strengthen youth programs.

The position requires knowledge of Delaware STARS and OCCL licensing rules, plus the ability to manage administrative tasks and coordinate with the Unit Director to grow the Extended Care and Summer Fun Club

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Must possess School-Age Site Assistant Certificate.
• Must pass FBI clearance and state/National background checks per Delacare.
• College credits or degree with focus on school-age children.
• Experience options: 3 years (Option A), 2 years (Option B), or 12 months supervised student teaching (Option C).

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with goals for K-8 and state standards.
• Supervise part-time staff, volunteers, and youth.
• Communicate effectively with school, parents and children.
• Follow organizational policies and procedures.
• Assess community needs and support enrollment/marketing.
• Develop, implement and promote youth programming and curriculum.
• Complete administrative paperwork and maintain records (staff and children files, enrollment, etc.).
• Maintain safe, clean program spaces and procure supplies as needed.
• Complete required OCCL/STARS trainings and comply with regulations.
