Job summary

NYC Public Schools is seeking a Data Analyst within the Office of Teacher Recruitment and Quality (TRQ). You will coordinate analytical products, lead cross-team collaborations, and implement data infrastructure improvements to support teacher recruitment and equity across NYC schools.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, reporting, and dashboard development to track progress toward goals. Collaboration with DOE offices and external consultants is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience.
• High school diploma with 5 years of related experience; equivalent combinations allowed.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics needs across TRQ and across the office.
• Manage weekly reporting and ad hoc requests for TRQ workstreams.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and tools to track progress toward goals.
• Co-lead development and sustainability of TRQ’s data infrastructure.
• Identify and interpret trends in complex data sets.
• Develop secure, reproducible data management procedures.
• Understand data collection needs and create solutions for system transitions.
• Build team capacity in research questions, data thinking, and recommendations.
• Support the research agenda and related work.
