Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Data Strategist to support Teaching and Learning through data-driven planning and analytics. You will report to the Data Manager, T&L, and collaborate with multiple departments to implement data collection, dashboards, and reporting that align with district priorities and improve programs.

The role requires 3+ years in data analytics, experience with SAS/SQL/Python, and strong communication skills to translate data insights for non-technical audiences while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in education, psychology, social science, public policy or related field with quantitative coursework
• Master’s or Doctoral degree preferred
• Minimum of three years in a data analytics/data management role
• Minimum of one year writing code with data analytic tools
• Experience training internal/external stakeholders on data interpretation preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement data collection and reporting systems
• Analyze large, complex datasets using SAS, SQL, Python
• Collaborate with department leaders to provide data-driven guidance
• Build capacity through training and office hours on data use for planning
• Ensure data quality, security, and governance across the office
• Coordinate data reporting with external partners and stakeholders
• Participate in DAUG meetings and cross-department collaboration
• Other duties as assigned
