Job summary

Colorado Psychiatric is seeking an Editorial Project Manager to support manuscript submission activities for two journals and oversee related editorial tasks. You will assist authors with submission issues, coordinate peer review with editors, and manage podcast projects from content ideas to scheduling.

The role requires strong communication, time-management, and confidentiality, with a hybrid work arrangement and benefits including health, dental, vision, 401K, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communication /related field.
• Knowledge of ScholarOne peer review platform a plus.
• Understanding of peer review ethics and confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage time and schedule so that goals are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Manages the manuscript submission program of both journals and ensures editorial workflows are followed.
• Coordinates with editors regarding peer review and manuscript decisions.
• Manages companion papers programs including editorials and visuals as needed.
• Flags for inappropriate content or plagiarism; handles revisions and withdrawals as approved.
• Provides support for Podcast project management from solicitations to handoff to editor.
• Responds to inquiries and provides manuscript status updates to authors, reviewers and editors.
• Maintains confidentiality and adherence to journal quality guidelines.
