Job summary

Human Kinetics, Inc. is seeking a K-12 Special Projects Manager I to oversee editorial, production, and e-learning workflows for assigned K-12 print and nonprint projects. You will manage these projects across departments to ensure timely releases within quality and budget constraints.

You will develop expertise in HK systems and K-12 processes, providing periodical support across Spanish editions if needed, and coordinating with external publishing services to meet aggressive timelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in project management or complex process coordination.
• Experience with version control on publishing projects.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience working with freelancers or vendors.

Responsibilities

• Plan and track K-12 projects with stakeholders and staff.
• Communicate priority and status to prevent bottlenecks.
• Manage projects across departments and budgets.
• Coordinate special K-12 tasks and workflows with external partners.
• Serve as ProdDev point person for scheduling and reviews.
• Prepare complete project materials and adjust workflows as needed.
• Maintain art, photo, and permissions data for reporting.
• Create procedures for unique K-12 processes and workflows.
• Contribute to profitability by meeting budgets and schedules.
