HarperCollins Publishers is offering an editorial internship focused on the Harper imprint. You will work across author relations, manuscript routing, and launch preparation while learning from two Executive Editors.

Qualifications

• Available for a full-time internship in 2027 or 2028.
• 21 hours per week across 3–4 days, Feb 8–Apr 16, 2027 at the stated location.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Resume and cover letter required; address to Hiring Team.
• Ideal candidates are undergrad or master's students or recent grads.
• Passion for pop culture and books is highly valued.
• Proactive and detail-oriented; strong communicator for cross-department work.
• Interest in contemporary fiction including book club, women’s, literary, and mystery/thriller genres.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of Harper imprint teams and tasks.
• Learn publishing software to assist author communications and expenses.
• Help read and evaluate submissions.
• Help prepare submissions to literary awards.
• Contribute to preparation for upcoming title launches.
• Attend meetings to learn from editors and staff.
