Qualifications

• Candidates available to work full‑time in 2027 or 2028; rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry‑level with up to 1 year experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
• A passion for books is highly valued.
• Proactive, organized, and attentive to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop a working understanding of the teams and tasks involved in publication of the William Morrow imprint’s books.
• Learn important publishing software programs and use them to assist in author communications and other departmental functions.
• Help read and evaluate submissions.
• Help prepare submissions to literary awards.
• Help execute administrative functions (mailings, drafting memos, etc.).
• Contribute to preparation for the launch of upcoming titles.
• Attend meetings of interest to network with editors and staff.
