Job summary

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Inc. is seeking an Editorial & Client Relations Associate to split responsibilities between editorial operations and advertising-related activities. The role supports manuscript processing, client communications, and marketing outreach in a full-time capacity.

The position requires a BA/BS and professional office experience, preferably in publishing or marketing. Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, Google Workspace, Ad Manager, and Zoom is expected to manage records

Qualifications

• BA/BS required.
• Professional office experience in publishing, media, marketing, or related field preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, MS Office, Google Workspace and Ad Manager; comfortable with Zoom, SharePoint, and client records tools.
• Basic knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style.

Responsibilities

• Editorial review of draft manuscripts for completeness before submission.
• Distribute reminders and follow-up communications as directed by PM.
• Track manuscript submissions and project status using Excel and internal systems.
• Maintain accurate records of correspondence through development reports.
• Support workflow management via SharePoint and other platforms.
• Provide sales & marketing support by identifying and pursuing opportunities.
• Assist marketing initiatives, campaigns, materials, and email outreach.
• Maintain client and prospect records in GoldMine.
• Track sales activity, leads, and business development progress.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships; serve as primary contact.
