Penguin Random House is seeking an Editorial Assistant for RHCB Licensed Publishing with open-to-remote options. This entry-level role supports a team of editors working on board books, storybooks, and other licensed formats, with deadlines and a focus on quality publishing processes.

The position entails drafting info sheets, managing P&Ls, handling license copies, and preparing materials for licensors and sales conferences. Remote-friendly and full-time, with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills for editorial support.
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Write title information sheets and web copy.
• Create and track P&Ls (Profit and Loss documents).
• Order author and licensor book copies.
• Brainstorm new book and series ideas with editors and licensors.
• Assist editorial team with manuscript and book development.
• Create presentation decks for licensors and Sales Conferences.
• Present titles and book series at Sales Conferences.
• Handle sensitive embargoed materials.
