Job summary

Penguin Random House is seeking a production editor to collaborate with editors and authors to ensure high-quality books from copyedit to final product. You will schedule and review freelance copy editors, proofreaders, and indexers, review e-pub files, cover copy, and reprint corrections, while managing tight deadlines with strong time management.

Minimum 5 years of trade publishing experience in production editorial is required.

Qualifications

• Exceptional copyediting and proofreading skills with knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style.
• Strong time management and ability to pivot quickly under tight deadlines.
