Job summary

Leidos is seeking an e-Discovery Professional to support the Federal Aviation Administration. This role combines IT proficiency with legal administrative support to organize, assess, and maintain electronic documents in agency investigations and legal proceedings.

Core duties include end-to-end eDiscovery management, data collection and processing, legal hold compliance, and coordinating with counsel to develop discovery strategies. Strong IT, legal, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, or digital forensics.
• Hands-on experience with Relativity, Nuix, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of EDRM (Electronic Discovery Reference Model).
• Ability to train small groups on how to use a customer-facing tool.
• Proficient in documenting processes and policies.
• Familiarity with data formats, databases, and file systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Attention to detail and can complete assigned tasks independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Ability to obtain a Secret level Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and apply methods to obtain applicable ESI from various data sources.
• Manage end-to-end eDiscovery processes: data collection, processing, review, and production.
• Ensure compliance with legal hold requirements and data preservation standards.
• Coordinate with legal counsel to develop discovery strategies and protocols.
• Utilize eDiscovery platforms for data processing and document review.
• Perform data culling, deduplication, and quality control checks per EDRM standards.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to ESI and review platforms.
• Maintain documentation of workflows and chain of custody throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, compliance, and outside counsel.
• Stay current with evolving eDiscovery technologies and best practices.
• Train legal staff and management to use FAA’s eDiscovery review platforms.
• Prepare reports detailing results of document analysis for accuracy and adequacy.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
