Our client, a top tier legal discovery and managed services provider, is currently seeking a talented Client Director to join their team. The Client Director must be located in one of the following states: Illinois, New Jersey, New York, California, Florida, Texas, South Carolina, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, North Carolina or Georgia. In this role, the Client Director will function more like an account manager and should be a well-rounded individual who is technical, has consultative and client-facing experience, and is a strong leader who will be hyper focused on ensuring the client service delivery of action items is impeccable. They will jump in on actual technical items, particularly at the beginning, to learn the workflows and how the client delivers work product. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience using Relativity.
Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Management – Build strong working relationships with senior client contacts and develop a deep understanding of their business structure, objectives, workflows, and requirements
- Operational Standards – Take primary responsibility for ensuring key client business requirements are translated into operational workflows and responsibilities across departments
- Case Leadership – Provide guidance, best practice recommendations, and benchmarks to support efficient workflow management
- Technical Guidance – Ensure clients receive the support needed to maximize their use of secure and scalable infrastructure, advanced technologies, eDiscovery services, and available consulting services while taking ownership of actions, issues, and projects
- Strategic Growth and Commercial Accountability – Partner with assigned Business Development Directors to support growth within enterprise accounts, monitor client satisfaction, and ensure contractual obligations are met
Essential Job Functions
- Develop strong relationships with senior client contacts and gain a thorough understanding of their business structure, goals, workflows, and requirements
- Provide technical guidance, best practice recommendations, and benchmarks for efficient workflow management
- Partner with Business Development to ensure new offerings and service lines are effectively incorporated into client portfolios
- Work with assigned Business Development Directors to drive growth within enterprise accounts, monitor client satisfaction, and ensure contractual commitments are fulfilled
- Lead case startup and design meetings regarding timing and strategy to establish higher-level workflows for matters and clients
- Provide guidance to Senior Consultants, Project Managers, and Project Coordinators, including performing quality reviews of work product
- Communicate with Project Managers and clients to develop workflows and understand deadlines and allocated budgets for each project
- Ensure client matters are appropriately and efficiently staffed and all deadlines are met
- Prepare and provide weekly project updates to clients and management
- Ensure timely and accurate billing by corresponding Project Managers
- Maintain regular communication with clients to understand deadlines and their approach to case workflows
- Ensure clients receive appropriate service through proactive attention to detail, planning, analysis, execution, and proper project closure
- Investigate client escalations and work with the team and client to facilitate appropriate resolutions
- Provide eDiscovery best practices, guidance, and solutions
Minimum Requirements
- Significant eDiscovery experience, specifically within a management capacity
- Bachelor’s degree required; JD or Master’s degree preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects within tight deadlines
- Proven ability to lead project management teams and deliver a high level of service
Preferred Skills
- Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) certification or significant working knowledge of Relativity and other eDiscovery applications
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Previous experience working in a Senior Consultant capacity
Expected salary for this role is $150,000 - $160,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors. Job ID: 7636
