Job summary

Ulta Beauty in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking an EDI Analyst to ensure seamless data integration between Ulta and supplier partners and to support end-to-end procure-to-pay processes.

The role emphasizes daily EDI operations, partner management, data analysis, and process improvement, with focus on SAP S/4HANA, OpenText, and IBM Sterling platforms. Retail supply chain experience is valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with EDI systems and integrations
• Experience with EDI formats such as X12, XML, IDOC, positional, or delimited files
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems
• Experience with EDI platforms (e.g., OpenText, IBM Sterling, or similar)
• Exposure to data analysis and reporting (Excel, SQL, or BI tools)
• Retail, CPG, or manufacturing industry experience

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day EDI support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
• Manage and prioritize EDI support tickets to ensure timely resolution and minimal business disruption
• Monitor end-to-end EDI transaction flows to ensure data integrity and system performance
• Build and manage relationships with trading partners and third-party EDI providers
• Support onboarding of new trading partners, including setup, testing, and go-live coordination
• Translate technical requirements into clear, actionable communication for partners
• Oversee EDI partner setups and configurations across multiple systems and platforms
• Maintain and improve EDI mappings, workflows, and integration processes
• Ensure compliance with EDI standards and internal data governance requirements
• Develop and maintain reporting to track EDI performance, KPIs, and error trends
• Analyze data to identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
• Recommend and support implementation of enhancements to optimize data flow and system reliability
• Create and maintain clear, structured documentation for EDI processes and solutions
• Support training and mentoring of team members in EDI concepts and tools
