Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for Akamai & Edge Security Services to design, deploy, and optimize enterprise security controls protecting web apps, APIs, and internet-facing services.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen the enterprise perimeter, monitor threats, and drive continuous security improvements across CI/CD and production environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise web application, API, or edge security.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Akamai security technologies or comparable enterprise WAF and application-security platforms.
• 3+ years of working knowledge: Web Application Firewalls, Bot management, DDoS mitigation, Web/API security, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS/traffic management, SSL/TLS and certificate management, OWASP Top 10, Linux environments.
• 2+ years of experience analyzing security telemetry and threat patterns.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Akamai security technologies (WAF, Bot Manager Premier, DSA tools).
• Administer Imperva Website Security configurations and integrations.
• Design and maintain security controls for web apps, APIs, and internet-facing services.
• Configure and tune WAF protections, rate limiting, IP & geo controls, API protections, and rules.
• Develop bot mitigation controls using behavioral analysis and automated enforcement.
• Investigate and mitigate DDoS attacks and credential stuffing.
• Monitor security telemetry and investigate incidents.
• Collaborate with teams to onboard applications and improve security in CI/CD.
