CVS Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer specializing in Akamai and edge security services to design, implement, and optimize security controls protecting web apps and APIs. You will partner with cross-functional teams to fortify the enterprise perimeter, respond to threats, and improve security processes.

The role includes on-call rotation about every six weeks and occasional after-hours support for incidents.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise web application, API, or edge security.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with Akamai security technologies or comparable platforms.
• 3+ years working knowledge: WAF, Bot management, DDoS mitigation, Web/API security, TLS/SSL, DNS, OWASP Top 10, Linux.
• 2+ years experience analyzing security telemetry, identifying attack patterns, troubleshooting issues.

Responsabilidades

• Administer and optimize Akamai security technologies (WAF, Bot Manager Premier, DDoS protections).
• Configure and tune WAF protections, rate limiting, IP/geographic controls, API protections, and rules.
• Monitor security telemetry and investigate incidents; perform root cause analysis and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with application, cloud, network, and security teams; support CI/CD security integration.
