Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer - Akamai & Edge Security Services to design, implement, and optimize security controls that protect enterprise web apps, APIs, and internet-facing services.

This role partners with application, cloud, infrastructure, network, and security teams; participates in a rotating on-call schedule; and supports incident response and security improvements across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise web app, API, or edge security experience.
• 3+ years with Akamai security tech or similar WAF platforms.
• 3+ years with WAF, bot management, DDoS, DNS, TLS, and Linux environments.
• 2+ years analyzing telemetry to identify threats and countermeasures.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Akamai security technologies including WAF and bot protection.
• Configure WAF protections, rate limiting, IP/geography controls, and API protections.
• Monitor security telemetry and respond to incidents, root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD and ops playbooks.
