Job summary

CVS Health in the United States is seeking a Senior Security Engineer focused on Akamai and edge security to design, implement, and optimize controls protecting enterprise web applications, APIs, and internet-facing services.

The role partners across application, cloud, infrastructure, networking and security teams, participates in a rotating on-call schedule, and advances threat protection, incident response and CI/CD integration to support secure, reliable digital experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in enterprise web app, API, or edge security
• 3+ years with Akamai security technologies or comparable platforms
• 3+ years knowledge: WAF, bot management, DDoS, web/API security, DNS, TLS, OWASP Top 10
• 2+ years analyzing security telemetry and incident response

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Akamai security technologies (WAF, Bot Manager, DDoS protections)
• Design and maintain security controls for web apps and APIs
• Monitor security telemetry and respond to incidents
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security and CI/CD integration
