Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Software Development Engineer I for edge-first fleet management on the Physical AI team.

You will write production-quality C++ and Rust code running on embedded processors, enabling offline operation, local caching, and secure OTA updates across nested processor hierarchies. You will collaborate with senior engineers, build cloud-side services to orchestrate fleets, and participate in a full software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Implement edge-runtime components in C++ and Rust for local artifact caching and OTA updates.
• Build cloud-side services to orchestrate fleets of edge devices in offline environments.
• Debug issues with senior engineers to improve system reliability.
• Contribute to security via cryptographic verification and signed-artifact workflows.
• Participate in full software lifecycle including scoping, reviews, testing, and deployment.
