Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Software Development Engineer to build embedded software for advanced 400G+ solutions on custom hardware. You will write Rust code, develop low-level drivers for ARM/RISC-V, and implement cryptographic standards.

A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required for the role. You will work on a cross-functional team, build and test embedded subsystems, and collaborate with hardware and software engineers to deliver high-assurance systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• 2+ years of system programming in C, C++, or Rust
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software using Rust and integrate with third party libraries for end-to-end 400G+ solutions
• Develop low-level drivers for ARM and RISC-V targets, Linux drivers and kernel modules
• Implement cryptographic and security requirements from government standards
• Implement keying functionality including key generation, establishment, distribution, storage, and zeroization
• Collaborate with design and system engineers to perform tradeoffs and implement solutions
• Write and maintain unit, integration and hardware-in-the-loop tests via CI/CD
• Debug issues across hardware/software boundary including RTL, firmware, and driver interactions
