Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. in the United States (Denver area) is seeking a Software Engineer I to help build a high‑reliability, high‑throughput platform that manages security certificates and configurations at scale.

You will design and implement features across backend services, rely on Spring/Spring Boot for scalable APIs, and collaborate with QA to ensure robust deployments in a global edge context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Java and familiarity with Python, C++, or Bash in Linux/Unix environments.
• Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot for backend applications.
• Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development solutions.
• Foundational understanding of Terraform.
• Understanding of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres) and NoSQL databases (Elasticsearch, Cassandra).

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing systems capable of handling tens of thousands of concurrent operations.
• Developing software to efficiently use relational and NoSQL databases.
• Creating new features from scratch and optimizing existing functionality.
• Collaborating with testing and SQA teams to deploy new components successfully.
