Job summary

Persona is seeking an experienced engineer to own and evolve the edge networking stack. You will configure routing, WAF, rate limits, and TLS, while shaping the ingress controllers, policy, and DNS across clusters.

You’ll build observability for network paths, ensure scalable regional expansion, and help establish engineering practices, tooling, and CI/CD standards to raise quality and velocity.

Qualifications

• Experience building and shipping production services in a polyglot environment (Go, TypeScript, or similar).
• Experience diagnosing production issues at the network layer, including proxies and load balancers.
• Kubernetes networking in practice: ingress controllers, DNS, policies.
• Infrastructure as code with change governance and safe rollout processes.
• Experience building internal platforms or tools that drive engineering adoption.

Responsibilities

• Own edge networking configuration: routing, WAF policy, rate limiting, and TLS management.
• Evolve the ingress layer: controllers, lifecycle, policy, and Ingress API for reliability.
• Manage DNS across internal and external zones so name resolution is transparent.
• Build network‑layer observability: latency, error rates, and routing visibility.
• Support regional expansion by extending networking into new geographies at scale.
• Help define team practices, SDLC, AI tooling, static analysis, and chaos engineering.
