AWS GCNA-D is seeking a Network Development Engineer to design, operate, and implement large-scale networks. You will partner across Infrastructure to roll out new designs, automate tooling, and sustain networking software for AWS services worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or equivalent.
• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 4+ years of Linux/Unix environment experience.
• 4+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality network and/or systems operations, deployments, scaling, and sustaining engineering.
• Create and implement changes on the network according to change management standards.
• Define tools with automation teams to scale at higher volume.
• Lead network projects in deployment, scaling, and optimization.
• Maintain AWS networks for major customers by diagnosing and resolving large-scale events.
• Operate and troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity, platforms, and configurations issues.
• Drive innovation from Top of Rack to Network Border and everything in between.
• Collaborate with Network/Infrastructure teams on standards and tools.
• Support fast roll-out of new designs and networking software tools.
• Ensure standards compliance across the networking toolset.
• Deliver simple, sustainable, repeatable solutions.
• Collaborate with escalation engineers/resolvers.
• Create and review deployment documentation and knowledge transfer materials.
