Job summary

Amazon seeks a hardware design engineer to join the AWS Hardware team in Seattle, building rock-solid server platforms for edge and data center deployments. You will work with compute, memory and storage experts to drive reliable, secure systems at scale, interfacing with customers to capture requirements and guide design decisions.

You will partner with vendors and ODM/JDM teams to bring products from concept to production, solving operational challenges and elevating the customer experience

Qualifications

• BS degree in EE, CE, or CS and 3+ years in complex server designs.
• 3+ years developing functional specs, design verification and test procedures.
• 1+ year managing customer escalations in large-scale production environments.

Responsibilities

• Interface with internal and external customers to understand project requirements and facilitate system development.
• Solve operational challenges to existing fleet to improve customer experience.
• Collaborate with vendors and ODM/JDM design teams to develop and manufacture at scale.
