Job summary

NXP Semiconductors is seeking a senior AI product manager to own the NPU software product roadmap, covering AI/ML compiler pipelines, optimization tools, runtime, SDKs, and developer APIs for the eIQ platform.

You will lead a scalable platform to support new model architectures and work with GTM to define enablement strategies across business units, while guiding upstream compiler integration and a holistic developer experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of AI product management experience owning a software product roadmap and developer-facing API surface.
• Strong understanding of the inference model deployment pipeline (training frameworks, model formats, inference runtimes).
• Familiarity with compiler toolchain concepts (graph optimization, operator fusion, quantization, code generation).
• Experience defining and tracking developer adoption metrics (SDK downloads, model compilations, active deployments).
• Track record of driving open-source or partner ecosystem strategy (upstream contributions, ISV enablement).
• Strong prioritization discipline managing a large backlog across multiple teams.
• Excellent technical communication; able to write developer-facing API specs and executive strategy memos.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the NPU software product roadmap spanning AI/ML compiler pipeline, optimization tools, runtime, SDKs, and developer APIs.
• Own and create a scalable platform to support newer model architectures (CNNs, LLMs, ViTs, VLMs).
• Maintain familiarity with architectures and operators, align customer expectations with model support, and close gaps with Engineering.
• Engage GTM to prioritize industry verticals, segments, and use cases for enablement across business units.
• Enable system-level solutions through pre-sales and sales support.
• Define integrated compiler strategy and unify NXP AI workloads across units.
• Monitor AI market developments and refine NXP’s AI strategy.
• Drive the eIQ integration strategy for Neutron compiler and SDK within eIQ environment.
• Develop use-case-driven software enablement and prioritize features for holistic UX.
• Own upstream open-source compiler integration strategy (TVM, MLIR/LLVM, ONNX, PyTorch export paths).
• Define and maintain the model zoo with frontier models and publish validated results.
• Own the developer experience end-to-end: installation, import workflow, compilation, profiling, debugging, deployment.
• Manage framework and ISV partner relationships and drive co-marketing.
• Run beta/early-access programs; translate feedback into engineering requirements.
• Define software versioning policy, backward compatibility, and LTS strategy.
• Benchmark against competitors while keeping software usable.
• Maintain knowledge of firmware and PCIe/USB drivers.
• Develop end-to-end system software solutions and demos for events.
