Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and direct calls for ED physicians and nurses.
  • Review charts for signatures and completeness; distribute and file reports.
  • Transcribe physicians’ orders and book diagnostic studies.
  • Prepare daily call rosters and discharge patients in the computer.
  • Distribute lab/x-ray/EKG slips; book tests; notify testing/admitting centers.
  • Distribute incoming lab and x-ray reports for ED patients.
  • Review reports from Diagnostic Imaging and relay to Charge Nurse.
  • Assist with ordering ED supplies; compile ED activity data.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.
