Job summary

Springfield Hospital, Inc is hiring an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) to work alongside the nursing team, performing delegated tasks under the supervision of an RN or Medic and assisting in patient care per department policy. You will maintain current knowledge of Emergency Patient Care and support ED registration and triage processes.

The role requires Vermont EMT-B or LNA license, a high school diploma, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current Vermont EMT-B or higher license or current Vermont LNA license.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Five (5) years’ experience as EMT-B or LNA (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with patient care under RN/Medic supervision.
• Maintain and increase knowledge base in Emergency Patient Care.
• Perform direct patient care (floor) and indirect activities (desk).
• Support pre-hospital/EMS/Fire and Rescue policies.
• Assist in ED registration and act as part of the care team in crises.
