Job summary

Springfield Hospital in Vermont is seeking a healthcare teammate to support the Emergency Department. You will assist nursing staff, perform delegated tasks under RN/Medic supervision, and help register patients, while maintaining calm professionalism during crises.

Requirements include Vermont EMT-B or LNA license, BLS for Healthcare Providers, a high school diploma, and up to five years of EMT-B/LNA experience. The role offers competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Vermont EMT-B or higher license or current Vermont Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) License
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Five (5) years’ experience as EMT-B or LNA (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the nursing staff in a supportive role.
• Perform delegated tasks under the supervision of an RN and/or Medic.
• Assist in providing patient care in accordance with ED policies and procedures.
• Maintain and increase knowledge base in Emergency Patient Care.
• Demonstrate ability to assist in delivery of patient care.
• Carry out tasks reflected in established protocols and competencies.
• Function as part of the team to support ED patients.
• Support the role of ED Receptionist and assist in patient registration.
