Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to join our busy ED team in Massachusetts. The role involves preparing the ED for patient care, transporting patients, and performing clinical tasks such as EKGs, wound care, and specimen collection.

Candidates should have a CNA/EMT license or be enrolled in a nursing program with clinical rotations, with CPI certification due within 6 months. AHA BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• CPI certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Required or current enrollment in a nursing/medical program with clinical rotations completed.
• Preference given to those with a Paramedic license.

Responsabilités

• Cleans, stocks, and readies the emergency department for patient care.
• Transports patients within the department and to in-hospital locations as needed.
• Performs clinical tasks such as EKGs, suture setup, wound cleansing with sterile technique, and specimen collection (urine and blood).
• Assists EDMD and Orthopedics with splints, molds, and immobilizers; sets up orthopedic clinic.
• Performs lab draws as required.
• Carry out tasks as directed by physicians, nurse director and ED staff.
