Job summary

Springfield Hospital, Inc. is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) to work as a collaborative member of the ED team in providing patient care under the direction of RNs and Medics. The role includes assisting with registration, responding to crisis, and adhering to ED policies.

The position emphasizes maintaining an up-to-date knowledge base in Emergency Patient Care and performing both direct bedside and desk-based tasks as part of a calm, professional team.

Qualifications

• Current Vermont EMT-B or higher license or Vermont LNA license.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Five (5) years’ experience as EMT-B or LNA (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the nursing staff in a supportive role.
• Perform delegated tasks under supervision of an RN and/or Medic.
• Assist in providing patient care according to training, competence, and ED policies.
• Maintain and increase knowledge in Emergency Patient Care.
• Demonstrate ability to assist in delivery of patient care and follow established protocols.
